Aldborough is a village just outside Boroughbridge in the Vale of York.
Once an important Roman town (called Isirium) there is now little evidence of its past significance, though remains of the Roman walls and a Roman Villa (including some fine mosaic floors) and miscellaneous artefacts can be viewed at what is left of Aldborough Roman Town.
